Day 1
Meet from Swindon Railway station to Avebury where you can explore the vast Neolithic stone circles. Lunch in the ancient thatched Red Lion Inn then in the afternoon visit West Kennet burial chamber and Silbury hill. That night you will be staying at a guest house in the Vale of Pewsey.

Day 2
We visit Devizes Museum where a lot of the artefacts found in and around Avebury are displayed. We then set off for Stonehenge and spend time in and around this wonderful World Heritage Site. The afternoon brings us to OLd Sarum and then Salisbury where you can visit the Cathedral and the museum or just wander and explore. We then return to our accomodation in Pewsey.

Stonehenge
Day 3

We meander our way to Devon stopping at Nunney where we visit the moated castle. We travel south through Glastonbury where we can visit the Abbey, visit the chalice well or just explore the extraordinary shops. We travel onwards and hopefully have time to stop in or near Honiton for afternoon tea (a chance for you to sample a Devonshire Cream tea). We arrive in East Charlton near to Kingsbridge where you will be staying for the next 3 nights at the Ashburton Arms. Your hosts provide lovely home cooked meals, or if you wish you can take a taxi into Kingsbridge for other cuisines.

Day 4
Today we travel to Torquay to visit Kent’s Cavern: a home for Prehistoric people's during the last Ice Age. The cave tour is a great experience and the entrance fee is included in your tour price. There is then the chance to visit Torquay museum, or you may want to visit the town and seafront.
In the afternoon we head for Exeter where you can explore the Cathedral, the city, the shops and museum. There may be time to visit Buckfast Abbey on the way back to our accomodation in East Charlton.

Dartmoor Stone RowDay 5
We get onto the moor.
Our Dartmoor day begins at Merrivale where we visit Stone rows, a stone circle, standing stones and hut circle settlements.
We will then visit the High Moorland centre exhibition at Princetown (Home of the infamous Dartmoor Prison). There are cafes here for lunch.
In the afternoon we visit Grimspound Bronze Age settlement, then if there is time either Scorhill or Fernworthy stone circles.
Accommodation back at the Ashburton Arms.

Day 6
Off to Cornwall.
We travel over the Tamar bridge and up to Bodmin Moor.
On Bodmin we visit a wonderful burial chamber called Trethevy Quoit as well as the Hurlers Stone Circles. We can visit Tintagel and Boscastell before arriving at our hotel in Bude.

Day 7
A long but interesting trip to Bath as we drive through Cheddar Gorge and stop in Wells where you can wander around the town and visit the magnificent Cathedral. We travel on to Stanton Drew in Somerset where we can visit the little known but highly outstanding stone circles.
We arrive at Bathford and settle into our very gracious surroundings at Eagle House.

Roman Baths & Abbey
Day 8

Bath. There are so many things to see: the Roman Baths, the Pump Room, the Abbey, the Assembly Rooms, Costume Museum, Royal Crescent and the Circus to name but a few.
